What is Royal Mail’s Quality Assurance Process?
Before you start using our machine-readable letter or large letter services or sending sorted packets for the first time, we check that the mail:
- 1) is addressed according to Royal Mail’s requirements.
- 2) is produced in the correct format, which can pass through Royal Mail’s machines.
Which Royal Mail products require a quality assurance check?
In order to be accredited, you need to pass a quality assurance check for the following products
Advertising Mail™
with no sorting, letters - OCR
with no sorting, large letters - OCR
with the Low Sort option, letters - OCR
Sustainable® Advertising Mail Entry (if you do not have Advertising Mail with the Low Sort option on your account)
with the Low Sort option, letters - OCR
Sustainable® Advertising Mail Intermediate (if you do not have Advertising Mail with the Low Sort option on your account)
with the Low Sort option, letters - OCR
Business Mail 1st Class and Business Mail
with no sorting, letters - OCR
with no sorting, large letters - OCR
with the Low Sort option, letters - OCR
