The Royal Mail Price Calculator is a Microsoft Excel 2000 document. Please note that you will need to have suitable software to unzip the downloaded file and will need to have Microsoft Excel installed on your computer to use the Calculator.

The Calculator uses "Macros" extensively. Macros are a potential security risk as they can contain computer viruses. We have therefore digitally "signed" the Macros used in the Price Calculator as proof that they have not been tamperered with.

IMPORTANT: You should always scan downloaded documents for viruses before opening them.

The first time you use the calculator, Excel should give you a security warning similar to the following:

Macros may contain viruses. It is always safe to disable macros, but if the macros are legitimate, you might lose some functionality.

Click on the "Details" button to view the security certificate used to sign the Macros in the Price Calculator (the certificate was issued to CACI by VeriSign).

You should then tick the "Always trust macros from this source" box and click the "Enable Macros" button. You will then be able to use the calculator in the future without being prompted to enable macros.

Please check with your IT department if you have concerns regarding this process.
