Royal Mail offers a free service for testing your Marketing, General Correspondence and Publishing Mail sortation software. This service is applicable to software which has been designed to sort addresses for low sort options.
Royal Mail requires that all low sort option customers use accredited software (i.e software which has passed this testing process).
A supplier who passes the testing process will have the option of appearing on Royal Mail’s accredited Software Suppliers Directory.
Testing Process
If you wish to have your sortation software tested, you will be required to sort a list of approximately 29,646 UK addresses and submit for validation the Computer Planning Report and Line Listing generated by your software.
The test process involves the following steps:
- Download the Test Address Data and Royal Mail Selection File
- Sort the test address data using your sortation software
- Submit your reports to the Royal Mail Technical Team for validation
- If you wish to be included in the software suppliers directory, or wish to have your existing entry renewed then download, complete and return a Product Questionnaire
